Some of the mosaics in this collection were made for commission, some just for fun and subsequently for sale. I have made memorial pieces for people from pieces of china from the collection of someone who has died. I love to work with broken bits and pieces that other people might otherwise throw away. And then of course I browse charity shops and car boot sales for special collectors’ items of pottery and crockery. This amounts to huge amounts of china in small pieces in my home and workshop.
